To help you find an event near you, we have compiled a list of Australia Day events hosted by local councils around Dubbo.
Dubbo
The Dubbo Australia Day event will be held from 7.30am to 10.30am on Sunday, January 26, at the Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre.
Council will put on a free barbecue breakfast, food stalls, children's activities and entertainment.
The official ceremony including the Australia Day Awards and Citizenship Ceremony will commence at 8.15am, featuring Australia Day ambassador Anupam Sharma.
Mr Sharma is an Australian film maker, who has been named one of the 50 most influential professionals in the Australian film industry. He is known for producing Bollywood films in Australia including Dil Chahta Hai and Heyy Babyy.
The Dubbo Aquatic Leisure Centre will be open from 10am to 6pm with free entry from 10am to 12pm on Sunday, January 26.
The Dubbo Rotunda Markets will also be taking place along Macquarie Street from 8am until 1pm for those who want to do a bit of shopping.
Wellington
The Wellington event will be held from 4.30pm to 7.30pm on Saturday, January 25 at Cameron Park.
There will be market stalls, free sausage sandwiches, cold drinks and food available for purchase, and children's activities.
The official ceremony including the Australia Day Awards will commence at 6.30pm, featuring Australia Day ambassador Ron Delezio.
In 2004, Ron and his wife Carolyn founded the Day of Difference Foundation to help critically injured kids and their families. The Foundation has raised over $14 million for hospital equipment, research and awareness-raising programs and activities.
There will also be free entry to the Wellington Region Aquatic Centre on Sunday, January 26 from 10am until 2pm.
Narromine
Narromine's 2024 Australia Day ceremony will take place in Dundas Park, Narromine from 7.30am on Sunday, January 26.
There will be a BBQ breakfast, ambassador address, citizenship ceremony, and awards presentation and fun for all.
Gerry Tatrai is the 2025 Australia Day ambassador for Narromine.

Narromine Aquatic Centre will offer free entry all day on Friday, January 26.
Trangie
Trangie's Australia Day celebration will take place on Friday, January 26, from 5pm at United Services Memorial Club.
Enjoy a light dinner, witness the official ceremony and Trangie's Australia Day Awards.
The 2025 Australia Day ambassador for Trangie is also Gerry Tatrai.
There will be free entry to Trangie Aquatic Centre all day on Friday, January 26.
