Raise your hand if you already watched every episode of No Good Deed. Ok, so all of us? Great! I mean, who could ever see a cast stacked with Lisa Kudrow, Ray Romano, Luke Wilson, Linda Cardellini, Teyonah Parris and Abbi Jacobson and NOT hit play immediately?
But now that we're done with those eight kinda-spooky-and-suspenseful-yet-funny episodes and had our minds sufficiently blown by all the plot twists in the finale, we're all just sitting here wistfully, back to endlessly scrolling the Netflix homepage looking for something to watch. And that begs the very important question: when is there going to be a season 2 of No Good Deed for us to watch? Well, here's everything we know so far!
Is No Good Deed getting a season 2?
Ok don't freak out, but Netflix hasn't confirmed whether or not there'll be a second season of the show yet. But it's not unusual to want to see how the first season of a show does before deciding on renewing it for a second, right?
That being said, season 1 did seem to wrap the story up pretty neatly, bringing the central plot of the show (the fight over who's going to get the house) to an end. With Leslie and Sarah moving into the house, Carla and Dennis building a new home on JD and Margo's old lot, and Margo being revealed as Jacob's killer, the story could very well end there and it would be a pretty satisfying ending. But only time will tell as to whether we'll get more episodes.
What could season 2 be about?
Even though season 1 kinda wrapped everything up in a bow, there are a few plot points that a second season could dive into. Number 1, of course, is WTF is going to happen to Margo now that she's been found out as a murderer? And second of all, is JD going to face any consequences for, ya know, setting his house on fire while Margo was stuck inside? We also found out in the finale that Dennis is big time lying to Carla about where the money to build their house came from (from her dad and not the advance on his book deal like he told her) so there's definitely some drama that could be explored there.
When would No Good Deed season 2 come out?
Since there's no official renewal of the show as of yet, there's no official release date either. But with the first season only having dropped on Dec. 12, there's a very good chance we'd be waiting quite some time for a season 2 premiere. One glimmer of hope is that season 1 had a relatively quick turnaround compared to a lot of other Netflix shows—it started filming in February and the episodes were out that same year. So, keep your fingers crossed, everyone!
