I Saw the TV Glow is about two teen friends, Maddie (Brigette Lundy-Paine) and Owen (Justice Smith), who are obsessed with a TV show called The Pink Opaque. They eventually part ways, but Maddy returns to Owen years later saying that she is actually Tara (Lindsey Jordan), one of the characters from the show, and that Owen needs to bury himself alive in order to become his true identity of Isabel (Helena Howard), another character from the series, leading Owen to question his reality.

MaXXXine is the third film in director Ti West’s X series, which stars Mia Goth. The first film X, showed Goth as an adult film actor, Maxine Minx, who survived a massacre. The second film, Pearl, is a prequel in which Goth plays the title character. This new addition is a sequel to X and is about Maxine continuing her goal of becoming a famous star while living in Los Angeles during the same time as the real life serial killer known as the Night Stalker.

Thirty-six years later, Beetlejuice is getting a sequel that features the return of director Tim Burton and cast members Winona Ryder, Catherine O'Hara, and Michael Keaton as the titular home-haunting Beetlejuice. Terrifier 2 made headlines in 2022 for audiences members reportedly vomiting and fainting during showings because of how gory it is. If that doesn't scare you off, a sequel—which again features the terrifying Art the Clown (David Howard Thornton)—will be released in October. This one's Christmas-themed.

Last year's Smile was about a therapist (Sosie Bacon), who becomes part of a curse that involves disturbing images of people smiling very creepily and which is tied to a series of deaths by suicide. The sequel sees the curse continue with it now haunting a pop star (Naomi Scott).

Nightbitch is based on the Rachel Yoder novel of the same name about a stay-at-home mom, who is having a tough time raising her toddler. That maybe doesn’t sound like a scary premise—at least not in a horror movie way!—but things get much more surreal from there as the woman believes that she is turning into a dog.

Bill Skarsgård is already known for horror thanks to his role as Pennywise in the It movies, and now, he will take on the role of a vampire in the gothic horror movie Nosferatu. Costars include Lily-Rose Depp, Nicholas Hoult, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson.
