It looks like the fight between the Supes and The Boys are set to come to an end. In a surprise twist, the series was renewed for a fifth season, but it's also set to be its last. And while we might not be excited to say goodbye to the wildest TV show on the air right now, all good things must come to an end. But what happens next is the big question and there's so many possibilities about where this can go, especially thanks to new sequels and any weird plot twist that they can throw at us.
Here's everything we know about The Boys season 5.
Is The Boys season 5 actually happening?
The show was always going to have a fifth season even before season 4 premiered as the streamer renewed the show back in May. But the big surprise came in June when creator Eric Kripke revealed that the show would be coming to an end with its upcoming season.
Wait, what?! It's ending?!
Unfortunately, yeah. Eric revealed the news on his X account (formerly Twitter) with a photo of the final page of the script for season 4 that says "SEE YOU FOR OUR FINAL SEASON, MOTHERFUCKERS!" So yeah, it's sadly coming to a close then.
What is going to happen in the final season of The Boys?
Considering the fact that season four just premiered, we're not 100 percent sure how it ends just yet. However, it'll no doubt be crazy, wild, and intense as things continue to come head-to-head between the two groups.
When will The Boys season 5 premiere?
An official release date hasn't been revealed just yet, but at least an early renewal means that it'll come back quicker. So check back to find out as we get closer!
