13 Sep - Although he is no longer in the seat to direct Marvel's "Avengers" film, Destin Daniel Cretton is reportedly in talks to helm the fourth "Spider-Man" film.

The filmmaker, most known for helming the "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" film in 2021, will be working next with Tom Holland in the upcoming co-production of Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures.

This will make him the fourth director to helm the franchise following Jon Watts (who directed the last three Spider-Man films), Marc Webb (Andrew Garfield-starrer "Amazing Spider-Man" 1 and 2) and Sam Raimi (the Tobey Maguire "Spider-Man" trilogy).

The project reportedly will begin filming in early 2025.
