Justene joined CGI in October 2017 as an experienced Executive Director in board, company and financial performance with a strong record of accomplishment in implementation, organisation transformation and change, as well as exceptional performance delivery.

 With more than 25 years of business experience at all levels, Justene has a deep and wide understanding of government, health and care, business, finance and customer operating models, people management and   engagement, strategy development and operational excellence.  Justene has a proven capability of delivering large and complex programmes as well as business turnaround; and a keen passion for supporting the circular economy, innovation and developing the opportunities for SME collaboration in the public sector.

Justene is responsible for establishing and leading the strategy for the health and care sector for CGI in the UK and Australia.

Understanding the key and unprecedented challenges the sector is facing, the urgent need for collaborative user centred service redesign, and the increased use of digital enablers creating capacity for the workforce, whilst improving clinical and care outcomes is where CGI’s strategy will add value.   She is building a new approach to collaborative and partnership working with our supplier and partner organisations which include some of the biggest health technology companies in the world to the small innovative and ground-breaking SME’s that the UK and Australia has to offer.

Prior to joining CGI Justene was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Scottish Government’s Innovation Centre; the Digital Health and Care Institute (DHI) in 2012.  Focusing on shifting the balance of care into the community, she worked across seven ministerial portfolios, six Scottish Government departments, twenty-two health boards and thirty-two local authorities to start up, establish and imbed the innovation centre as a collaborative partnership; establishing its vision, planning sustainability, providing leadership and strategic direction for DHI and its employees and its complex network of stakeholders. Justene was also a member of the Scottish Government’s e-health strategy board, a non-executive director for Citizen Advice Scotland and mentor for the Scottish Funding Council Arora programme.
