Panthers' Chandler Wooten: Active for training camp
Wooten (ankle) has been an active participant at Carolina's training camp, Anthony Rizzuti of Panthers Wire reports.
Wooten ended the 2023 season on injured reserve with an ankle injury, but he's now fully recovered and participating at training camp. The 25-year-old will compete with the likes of Trevin Wallace and Claudin Cherelus for an active roster spot at interior linebacker this season.

Panthers' Chandler Wooten: Placed on IR
The Panthers placed Wooten (ankle) on injured reserve Tuesday, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports.
Wooten will need to miss a minimum of four games due to an ankle injury suffered Week 9, making his earliest possible return date Week 14 versus the Saints. In a corresponding move, Carolina promoted tight end Jordan Matthews from the practice squad.

Panthers' Chandler Wooten: Suffers ankle injury
Wooten suffered an ankle injury during Sunday's loss to the Colts, Augusta Stone of the Panthers' official site reports.
Wooten was ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's matchup in the closing minutes after he recorded a tackle and recovered a fumble on special teams in the first half. Whether he'll be available for Thursday's game against the Bears remains to be seen.
