Pistons' Bobi Klintman: Still out

Klintman has yet to play this season. He doesn't have a return timetable, but his next chance to suit up will come Friday versus the Knicks.

Pistons' Ausar Thompson: Remains out
Thompson (illness/conditioning) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the 76ers.
Thompson still hasn't been medically cleared for game action, but it's encouraging that he's listed on the injury report with a return to competition reconditioning tag. The second-year wing continues to work his way back from a blood clot issue that sidelined him last season, but he's expected to play at some point this season, though he remains without a firm return timetable.

Pistons' Malik Beasley: Held to three points
Beasley ended Monday's 106-98 loss to the Heat with three points (1-12 FG, 1-7 3Pt), one assist and one steal in 19 minutes.
After a hot start to the campaign, Beasley produced his first dud of the season Monday night. He's been a key part of the second unit so far, playing 24.0 minutes with averages of 11.8 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.8 three-pointers through four games.

Pistons' Tobias Harris: Struggles continue Monday
Harris had nine points (4-11 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal across 37 minutes during Monday's 106-98 loss to the Heat.
Harris fell one point short of a double-double, albeit with very little fanfare. The veteran continues to play significant minutes for his new team, providing them with a veteran on-court presence. However, his playing time is yet to translate into fantasy value, a source of frustration for anyone who spent a fifth-round pick on him in drafts. Although he is not living up to expectations, managers would be wise to hold the veteran, perhaps looking to move him if and when he strings together a handful of noteworthy performances.

Pistons' Tim Hardaway: Pops for 20 points in loss
Hardaway logged 20 points (5-10 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 7-7 FT) and one assist in 33 minutes during Monday's 106-98 loss to Miami.
Hardaway was second only to Cade Cunningham, scoring 20 points on reasonable efficiency. Although he has been a consistent member of the starting lineup, Hardaway appears to be alternating strong performances with Malik Beasley. In true fashion, Hardaway offered nothing in terms of supporting stats. Outside of streaming value, Hardaway is not someone who needs to be prioritized in standard formats.

Pistons' Ron Holland: Limited again in loss
Holland logged six points (3-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and two rebounds across 14 minutes during Monday's 106-98 loss to the Heat.
Holland played just 14 minutes off the bench, continuing his underwhelming start to the season. To this point, he has scored a grand total of just 21 points in four games, adding very little in terms of peripheral production. While there is a chance he steps into a larger role later in the season, managers simply can't hold him given his limited contributions. Even in deeper formats, there are likely better options available on waivers.

Pistons' Jaden Ivey: Leads Detroit in scoring
Ivey finished with 26 points (10-18 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 4-5 FT), five rebounds, six assists and a steal across 39 minutes in Saturday's 124-118 loss to the Celtics.
Ivey led the Pistons in scoring, and even though Cade Cunningham is the team's go-to player on offense, there's no question Ivey is enjoying an excellent start to the 2024-25 campaign. The third-year guard has scored at least 17 points in every game thus far while surpassing the 20-point mark in his last two appearances. Furthermore, he has increased his scoring totals with each passing game. A regression is likely to happen, particularly in his shooting percentages, but Ivey is clearly outperforming expectations early in the season.

Pistons' Cade Cunningham: Double-double despite shooting woes
Cunningham recorded 21 points (9-22 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 1-3 FT). six rebounds, 10 assists, a steal and four blocks across 41 minutes in Saturday's 124-118 loss to the Celtics.
Cunningham did everything he could to pull the upset against the reigning champions, but the Pistons came up short even though they fought until the final stages of the fourth quarter. Cunningham wasn't at his best in terms of efficiency, but that won't matter much if he's able to deliver the kind of two-way play he's been putting up to start the campaign. Through three appearances, Cunningham is averaging 27.3 points, 5.0 rebounds and 8.0 assists per game.

Pistons' Jalen Duren: Perfect from field Saturday
Duren finished with 15 points (7-7 FG, 1-2 FT), nine rebounds, two assists and two blocks across 29 minutes in Saturday's 124-118 loss to the Celtics.
Duren finished just one rebound shy of opening the new season with two double-doubles over his first three appearances. One of the most promising young big men in The Association, Duren had excellent fantasy upside due to his solid two-way play and his established role as a go-to offensive option on a rebuilding Pistons team. Duren had a career-best season in 2023-24 with 13.8 points and 11.6 rebounds per game across 61 regular-season contests, and it wouldn't be surprising if he improves on those numbers in 2024-25.

Pistons' Wendell Moore: Rare appearance in loss
Moore chipped in no counting stats in one minute during Friday's 113-101 loss to the Cavaliers.
Moore cracked the rotation, albeit during the final moments of Friday's loss. While it is always nice to see fringe players spending time on the court, Moore's brief action Friday doesn't suggest that he is going to attain fantasy value anytime soon.

Pistons' Simone Fontecchio: Used sparingly again Friday
Fontecchio logged five points (1-4 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and two rebounds across 20 minutes during Friday's 113-101 loss to Cleveland.
Fontecchio was quiet in the loss, continuing his underwhelming start to the season. After finishing last season well, the Pistons appear to have shifted him down in the rotation. Even in starters' minutes, Fontecchio is a borderline asset at best. Based on his current role, there is no reason to consider picking him up.
