Dodgers' Jack Flaherty: Battling hamstring issue
Manager Dave Roberts said Saturday that Flaherty was removed from his start in Game 1 of the World Series on Friday due to hamstring tightness, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
Flaherty's hamstring reportedly began bothering him just before he threw the pitch that Giancarlo Stanton sent 412 feet into left field during the sixth inning. While Flaherty's injury was enough to force him out of the game after 90 pitches, the Dodgers don't believe it will affect his availability for the rest of the series, keeping him in line to start a potential Game 5.

Dodgers' Jack Flaherty: Named Game 1 starter
Flaherty has been named the Dodgers' starter for Game 1 of the World Series versus the Yankees on Friday, Noah Camras of DodgersNation.com reports.
Flaherty made his last start in Game 5 of the NLCS against the Mets this past Friday, so he will head into Game 1 of the World Series with six full days of rest. The right-hander had an excellent start in Game 1 of the NLCS, shutting out the Mets across seven innings. However, the Mets got to him in his second outing, scoring eight runs in just three innings. With Flaherty set to go Friday, it is likely Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Walker Buehler will start the following two games, respectively.

Flaherty will start in Game 5 of the NLCS against the Mets on Friday, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports.
Flaherty was dominant in Game 1 of the series, striking out six batters over seven shutout innings en route to a 9-0 victory. He'll look to put on a similar performance Friday against a Mets offense that owns a .698 OPS across nine postseason contests.

Dodgers' Jack Flaherty: Set to start Game 1
Flaherty will start Sunday in Game 1 of the NLCS against the Mets, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
Flaherty was roughed up during his first outing of the postseason, surrendering four earned runs over 5.1 innings in a loss to San Diego, but he figures to have a good chance to bounce back Sunday after turning in a 3.17 ERA during the regular season.

Dodgers' Jack Flaherty: Bumped to Game 2
Flaherty will start in Game 2 of the NLDS against the Padres on Sunday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
The Dodgers originally planned to start Flaherty in Game 1, but they are instead opting to start Yoshinobu Yamamoto to allow Yamamoto five days rest before potentially pitching in a decisive Game 5. Flaherty had a solid regular season, but he did struggle a bit down the stretch by allowing nine earned runs across his final 14 frames with a 14:9 K:BB.

Dodgers' Jack Flaherty: Tapped for Game 1 start
Dodgers general manager Brandon Gomes said Wednesday that the club plans to start Flaherty on Saturday in Game 1 of the NLDS, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.
Flaherty will be tasked with Game 1 before the Dodgers turn to Yoshinobu Yamamoto in Game 2. The 28-year-old posted a 3.58 ERA and 61:19 K:BB across 55.1 innings covering 10 starts for the Dodgers after being acquired from the Tigers at the trade deadline.

Dodgers' Jack Flaherty: Strikes out five in no-decision
Flaherty did not factor into the decision in a win over the Padres on Wednesday, allowing three runs on four hits and three walks over five innings while striking out five.
Flaherty allowed four of the first six batters to reach between the first and second inning, leading to two runs coming home for San Diego over that stretch. He then went on to retire 10 of the next 12 batters he faced before coughing up a solo homer to Fernando Tatis in the fifth. It marked the third-consecutive start in which the right-hander has given up at least three runs and multiple free passes. However, he's also managed to get through at least five innings in nine of 10 outings since joining the Dodgers.

Dodgers' Jack Flaherty: Bounces back with quality start
Flaherty (13-7) earned the win Thursday, allowing three runs on five hits and two walks over six innings against the Marlins. He struck out five.
Flaherty cruised to the victory Thursday, posting a quality start as he was provided 14 runs of support prior to his removal from the game. It was a nice rebound for Flaherty, who was pulled following a season-low three frames in his last start, the only time he's failed to reach five innings across 27 outings this season. Flaherty looks to be in line to make one more start this season, tentatively scheduled to take place against the Padres.
