How we collect information for the Nonprofit Database

We make the Nonprofit Database available to our users for viewing, searching, analyzing, exporting, and reporting. Cause IQ obtains information for the Nonprofit Database from the following sources:

  1. Publicly available government disclosure documents;
  2. First-hand research conducted by our research team;
  3. Search technology that scans the internet to gather publicly facing information; and
  4. Algorithms that analyze trends in profile data to create new data points, including but not limited to classifying organizations and determining relations between organizations and vendors.

Cause IQ does not include information from data resellers or private third parties in our Nonprofit Database. As defined by CCPA, the only personal information in our Nonprofit Database are data points on nonprofit personnel collected from our research team and web search technology.
