Seville is a city that lends itself perfectly to just wandering around and soaking up the atmosphere. And there is plenty of atmosphere to be soaked up.
People watching is very much a pastime here, and all over Seville restaurants teem with well-heeled locals enjoying a laidback coffee or cerveza under the shade of a citrus tree.
The city also has its fair share of must-see sights. Top of the list is Plaza de España whose monumental, semi-circular building is elaborately decorated with Andalusian tiles. Also typically Andalusian is the Seville Bull Ring, though what goes on inside may not be to everyone’s taste. The resting place of Christopher Columbus, UNESCO World Heritage-listed Seville Cathedral is an awe-inspiring structure whose vast vaults provide welcome relief from the heat of the day.
But it’s after dark that things really start to heat up. Streets pulse to the rhythm of flamenco, and with more bars per inhabitant than anywhere else in Europe, there’s no shortage of choice for nightlife.
Just on the outskirts of the city is Seville Airport. Public transport from here provides easy access to the array of Seville hotels, guest houses and apartments that Booking.com has to offer.

You need to book ahead for access to many of the historical venues. As you are likely to be walking a lot you'll need a good street map. A mobile-phone connection isn't always available in the narrow streets.
Even if you are allergic to 18th and 19th century Christian religious presentations, churches, museums and religious foundations are well worth a visit and you will soon become immune to the presentational excesses if you reflect on the lives of the ordinary folk so often captured in the portrayal of contemporary suffering in the saintly images themselves.

Great city break as enough to do within 2/3 days without feeling rushed. More time than that would however allow for visiting other cities in the are (like Granada and Cordoba) which are all relatively close. City itself is very picturesque and clean with the majority of the centre pedestrianised. Food is great, though you might need to balance eating in as its carb and meat heavy (we were all craving salads after 4 days)
Cathedral is the star (Colombus' tomb is very impressive), but the Alcazar has some lovely architecture and gardens and the buildings in the centre all have a lot of character. Walking along the river is also really relaxing after a busy day of sightseeing.

Weather is in the 60s in December.
Weather is in the 60s in December. It doesn’t get dark until after 6pm. Seville is very easy to get around. We walked everywhere as all attractions are within a mile of hotel. Prices for entry into key tourist attractions very reasonable. Very relaxed and friendly place. Though there are some street sellers who approach you for money or selling items, very minimal in comparison to other cities such as Rome and Barcelona. Food and drinks very reasonably priced. We found it much cheaper to eat out in comparison to UK. However you might struggle or need to research if you are vegan. I have a preference for plant based milk, I was unable to get this in 2/3 of cafés. Tea is also less available than coffee. You need light clothes, jumper for evening as it gets a little colder and comfortable walking shoes or trainers. We mostly did sight seeing during our 4day stay. We felt very safe in Seville.

Seville was a super city to visit.
Seville was a super city to visit. Very flat and easy to walk around with a multitude of restaurants to chose from and plenty to see and do throughout the city. Our only drawback is that we didn't spend enough time there.

Room cleanliness was exemplary, bed extremely comfortable, spacious room, very good wi-fi and very kindly staff.
Easy to get to the old town, the hotel being next to the subway (2 stops to the centre), tram (T1) and bus stations or by walking, within no more half an hour. From the airport you can take the EA bus (20-30 min to get to the hotel). From San Bernardo train station, which is nearby to the hotel, you can take the train to go to the cities near Seville (Cordoba, Jerez de la Frontera, etc.).
Amazing beautiful hotel, good location for city centre. Lovely extra’s in hotel room free mini bar (didn’t use) and sweeties…. Nice touch.
Breakfast choice has been the best so far on our visit around Spain and air-con actually worked. Wish we had booked an extra night.
Beautiful building in the old town. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly.
The hotel's location was excellent as there were many good bars and restaurants around it and Sevilles main attractions were a stroll away.
The hotel was in the perfect location for exploring Seville old town. The room was comfortable and very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast offered a very good selection.
