The Burlington, hotel in Worthing

Opposite Worthing Beach, this refurbished seafront property with a Victorian style dates from 1865. Enjoy full English breakfasts, sea views and traditional food in bustling The Burlington Bar.

The room was big, clean and comfortable and tastefully decorated so it was a nice room to stay in. The hotel has been updated from what it was like before which is a definite improvement but our room looked out onto a dilapidated balcony which makes it seem like the project cut corners or is not finished (?) which spoils the overall experience.

A Victorian town with good access to the south coast, a reasonable shopping centre and a good selection of food outlets. A trip to nearby Brighton via the local bus service No 700 is worthwhile for a good day out.

    What a beautiful place!

What a beautiful place! The views over the beach from our apartment were awesome and we had an absolutely GORGEOUS lunch at the restaurant at the end of the pier and then a GORGEOUS breakfast there too the following day. The town was quite interesting and the local area was lovely. All in all a fab place.

I live in Australia now but Worthing is where I grew up so I am slightly biased as we have many friends in this area ! I love the seafront esplanade to walk along and the huge choice of places to eat . There is lots going on at The Connaught Theatre , Worthing Assembly Hall and Pavilion with many great artists coming to perform and shows to enjoy . I am vegan so We loved The Laughing Dog on Brighton Rd with delicious food ( not just vegan ), great space and atmosphere and the really lovely staff 🤗 Worthing is great for travelling to Arundel and Brighton easily , and there are many other beautiful places nearby to visit .

Went to a music gig at THE VENUE, 5- 10 minutes walk from the brewhouse, Newly renovated, bar service needs speeding up. Nice mixture of shops , u will need google maps to find a specific shop as spaced out over a large area.

Worthing is generally nice but dated.

Worthing is generally nice but dated. As many other towns there is a visible homelessness issue with tents and makeshift accommodation in the town centre and pedestrian walking routes. The pier is currently closed with no timetable for reopening. There is a nice pool (splash point) at the seafront and plenty of areas to eat. Clothes shopping is very limited but there is plenty of charity shops and places to buy a phone case or get a phone repair done.

Wonderful location right on the seafront - the balcony is a major bonus if you stay in the summer months, what a view. Very comfortable flat, well appointed kitchen plus laundry facilities if needed. The added bonus for me was being just a couple of minutes walk to my 2 favourite coffee shops in Worthing. Hosts are very responsive to messages and requests, and were very understanding/accommodating of my delayed arrival.
