There have been times when Eri's horn has been removed, such as during the final war arc of the series when she handed it to Aizawa so he could use it to restore Izuku "Deku" Midoriya's arms.

The sense of hype and drama only grows from there, as the opening showcases many new characters and plenty of action, as well as an intense sequence of Izuku trying desperately to save Eri.
