IVF is widely considered an effective treatment to build families, but only 3% of infertility cases actually require IVF. For brokers, finding less invasive, lower-cost options and benefits strategies can help employer clients cut their costs while also ensuring that employees have the support and resources that they need to build their families. As a result, brokers and HR professionals need to understand the differences between various fertility benefits and how best to choose the one that not only provides the best service but is also the most cost-effective.

In this complimentary webcast, you'll discover the various options and strategies that exist for family building beyond IVF–lifestyle changes, ovulation tracking and more. You'll learn:

  • What brokers need to look for when considering fertility benefits and how to maximize cost
  • How engagement-based models drive superior clinical outcomes for employees
  • How to vet vendors to ensure the best cost and services
  • How to leverage fertility benefits to improve employee retention and recruitment

Lauren Schindel | Account Executive | Carrot Fertility

Lauren Schindel is a Mid Market Account Executive at Carrot Fertility, the leading global fertility and family-building platform providing care for everyone, everywhere. In her role, Lauren works with employers to help them build inclusive fertility benefits programs that meet the needs of their organizations. That includes supporting HR and benefits teams from when they're first exploring benefits to ensuring a seamless implementation. Since joining the company in 2020, Lauren has helped more than 60 employers add Carrot as a benefit, resulting in thousands of people getting access to fertility care and family-building support.

Before joining Carrot, Lauren spent the early part of her career working in hospitality. When she began exploring her own family-building options, she felt strongly that, as a queer person, there needed to be more equitable options for all people who want to grow their families. Lauren transitioned her career from hospitality to the benefits industry to help more people, including the LGBTQ+ community, access care.

Lauren earned her bachelor's degree from the University of California Berkeley. She's now based in Oakland, CA. Outside of work, Lauren volunteers as a mediator with SEED, a non-profit focused on conflict resolution, and enjoys exploring the outdoors with her partner and their dog.
