Created this large illustration for the Colorado Tourism office and was printed in the Denver Post in the travel section.  This was a fall map designed for kids and families, to show the many fun activities available in the autumn season in Colorado.  The art director wanted a warm color and a slightly topographical feel so I used texture and color to create this effect.
