Police heard reports that a man was seriously injured on Highfield Road in Kettering

A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after he was assaulted in a town.

Northamptonshire Police was called to Highfield Road, Kettering, Northamptonshire, at about 19:00 GMT on Friday after it was reported a man had been hurt.

He was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police have appealed for any witnesses to come forward who were there or have CCTV or dashcam footage of the incident.
