Cyclist, 10, raises £15,000 for animal charity

A 10-year-old boy has cycled from Land's End to John O'Groats and back again to raise money for a wildlife charity.

Harry Peksa, known as HedgyHarry because of his love for hedgehogs, has been cycling the 2,300 miles (3,700km) with his father Nick.

The epic journey, which began on 9 July, has raised £15,000 for Buckinghamshire-based animal charity, Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital.

Harry, from Wokingham, dropped into a number of attractions and Scout groups on the way.

His father Nick told BBC Radio Cornwall: "It's been a lot of hard work but we have really learned the kindess of strangers in Great Britain, which has been fantastic."

Harry has already raised £22,000 by cycling the length of the country when he was aged eight and nine.
