Revisado: 08-30-13
Not sure what target audience this is for... I would have said young children- but then the sex scenes??
Juvenile story and juvenile reading that I kept thinking would get better and it never did.

Do not miss this one!
Revisado: 11-08-12
A brilliant narration of a wonderful story. Even though I was thinking of passing on this one because the main character is only 14, I am so glad I didn't. The author makes the age of the lead work and I laughed out loud at some of her dialogue. I am left really looking forward to the next instalment.

Very difficult to follow
Revisado: 04-06-12
The narrator for this does not distinguish enough between voices so it is very difficult to follow the story.

Maybe it is just me...
Revisado: 04-06-12
I do not get the main character in this- who knows that much about shoes?? And the author would have to know it to write about it. Unless it is all made up...
The narrator is also irritating, but maybe it is the infantile dialogue?
For the record- I did find the first book entertaining enough to try this one.

Not the best narrator for the book- but fun
Revisado: 03-01-12
Although I like Kate Reading as a narrator- she did not do it for me in this book. She was annoying as the main character. However, it is a fun listen. I would discourage one from listening to Kinsella books back to back though- it becomes a little too much of a good thing!

In defence of the narrator
Revisado: 10-16-11
I have to say that I liked the narrator. I listen to all of my audiobooks in fast playback and this does make a huge difference to my tolerance level but she was far from intolerable.
So- if you want a mindless, fun listen- this is not far off the mark.
Keep in mind it is a Harlequin!

Over rated
Revisado: 02-23-11
OK to pass the time. I am not quite sure what I am missing- I can't quite see what all of the rave reviews are for. The narration is good. The main characters are not easy to like but after all of the time I spent listening to this book- absolutely nothing stands out- except Diana was always tired!

Historia
Atlanta would be a nice place to live, if it weren't for the magic. When the magic is up, rogue mages cast their spells and monsters appear, while guns refuse to fire and cars fail to start. But then technology returns, and the magic recedes as unpredictably as it arose. Kate Daniels works for the Order of Knights of Merciful Aid, officially as a liaison with the mercenary guild. Unofficially, she cleans up the paranormal problems no one else wants to handle - especially if they involve Atlanta's shapeshifting community.
