The best hotels in Vegas seem to have it all—casino tables, unforgettable nightlife, and world-class entertainment. Las Vegas is a city of architectural icons, the only place in the world where you’ll find an Eiffel Tower, Empire State Building, a hint of Lake Como and impeccable Egyptian pyramids in the same neighborhood. Even this city’s old neon welcome sign has become a global design icon.
Look a little closer and you’ll find a health center designed by Frank Gehry and a shopping mall from Daniel Libeskind, the architect who led the reconstruction of the World Trade Center site in New York City and designed the Jewish Museum in Berlin. Check out Helmut Jahn’s tilted towers or wander around a midcentury-modern neon museum that looks like it came straight out of The Jetsons.
From historic Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas to a glitzy strip in the desert, Las Vegas has a little bit of something for everyone, especially architecture buffs. So go ahead: Check in, relax poolside, and stay a while at one of these memorable Las Vegas hotels.
The Venetian Resort Las Vegas
This resort brings a glorious taste of Venice to the Nevada desert, complete with a Grand Canal and unforgettable gondola rides. Choose from two towers—the Venetian, a tribute to Italian opulence, or the Palazzo, a luxurious tower meant to reflect a modern renaissance. Every room at this resort is a luxurious suite with a separate sitting area and an Italian marble bathroom. The hotel includes several swimming pools, a casino, a spa, and a steady schedule of concerts from bands like Earth, Wind & Fire, REO Speedwagon, and The B-52’s. There are also several fine dining restaurants on site, including from celebrity chefs Emeril Lagasse, Wolfgang Puck, and Thomas Keller. If you’re looking for Lagasse’s Delmonico Steakhouse, you’ll find it here at the Venetian in Las Vegas.
Bellagio Las Vegas
The Bellagio Las Vegas may be best known for its dancing Bellagio fountains, but it offers so much more. From the outside, this property resembles Bellagio, an idyllic town on the shore of magnificent Lake Como in Northern Italy. Inside, you’ll find one of Las Vegas’s best hotels. The Bellagio’s freshly remodeled rooms offer sweeping views, plush bedding, and a color scheme that looks like a Lake Como sunrise. The Bellagio hosts Cirque du Soleil and has its own conservatory and botanical garden in addition to its casino and epic Mediterranean-style pool surrounded by luxurious cabanas. The Bellagio is also home to Fiori di Como, American glass artist Dale Chihuly’s interpretation of Italian flowers in the spring. This Chihuly-designed ceiling is made of more than two dozen flowers to admire while you’re checking in.
The Cosmopolitan
This sexy hotel on the Las Vegas Strip is one of the city’s most stylish places to stay. The hotel is designed to be an oasis of calm among the hustle and bustle of the strip. Luxurious rooms and suites offer sweeping views, many with sliding glass doors and open onto private terraces. Plasma TVs make it easy to watch Netflix or stream Pandora while you’re relaxing, and several rooms come with sub-zero wine chillers. There’s a 100,000-square-foot casino on site, but the true gem of this property is the trilevel chandelier bar. There’s nothing quite like sipping a cocktail from within the shimmering glass beads of this most epic chandelier. The Cosmopolitan Hotel is a Marriott property, so you can earn Marriott Bonvoy points with your stay.
Vdara Hotel & Spa
Designed by Uruguayan architect Rafael Viñoly, the Vdara Hotel & Spa is the rare non-gaming Las Vegas property that doesn’t have its own casino. This is a place that’s all about relaxation and getting away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Like other properties on the strip, every hotel room at the Vdara Hotel & Spa is a suite. The smallest of these serene spaces are nearly 600 square feet, and some suites welcome dogs. Guests at the Vdara Hotel & Spa get full access to the facilities at the ARIA Resort & Casino.
Aria Resort & Casino
The AAA Five Diamond Aria Resort & Casino is one of the most luxurious places you can stay in Las Vegas. Deluxe rooms are over 500 square feet and offer views of the Las Vegas Strip. At 1000 square feet and up, the luxe sky suites here are huge. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer unforgettable views of mountains and the Las Vegas skyline. With views like these, you might just have to order room service. The Aria is an especially great Las Vegas hotel for anyone attending events at the T-Mobile Arena. The hotel is part of the MGM empire, which also includes the Vdara, Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Park MGM and MGM Grand.
Nobu Hotel
The Nobu Hotel in Las Vegas is a different kind of Nobu property. This is the first Nobu Hotel inside another hotel, Caesar’s Palace (where Nobu Hotel guests get full access to the amenities!). This luxurious hotel-within-a-hotel is an oasis of calm among the neon lights, thumping music, and wild nightclubs that define the city. The 182 rooms and suites at this stay feature Japanese-inspired decor: Cherry blossoms feature heavily in the design of these plum-and gold-accented hotel rooms, which are some of the most luxurious rooms and suites on the Las Vegas Strip. One suite here, the Nobu Villa, is a 10,000-square-foot, three-bedroom villa with a rooftop terrace overlooking the strip. Of course, there’s the Nobu Restaurant and a sushi bar on-site as well.
Caesar’s Palace
There may be few more recognizable Las Vegas properties than Caesar’s Palace, the Vegas strip hotel and casino icon sandwiched between the Bellagio and the Mirage. Nearly 50 years after its opening, Caesar’s Palace continues to bring a flavor of the Roman Empire to the Las Vegas desert. There’s a 20-foot Julius Caesar at the entrance and the main performance venue is a 4,300-seat colosseum. Check-in and you’ll find updated hotel rooms with modern conveniences like in-room Wifi, luxurious linens and app-based self-check-in. This sprawling property has more than 3,500 hotel rooms, 22 restaurant options, and nearly a dozen bars.
Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino
This 43-story luxury hotel has been a defining feature of the Las Vegas skyline since it opened in 1999. The updated property offers a bright color palette, a fun vibe, and optional butler service. Suites feature floor-to-ceiling windows, sweeping Las Vegas views, and stylish decor. Even the basic guest rooms here are huge, at around 550 square feet. There are two additional, separately run hotels on the property: a Four Seasons Hotel on the tower’s top floor, and the luxurious all-suite Delano Las Vegas.
Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas
This hotel is a Hilton-rewards-member favorite and luxury shopper’s paradise that’s home to brands including Alexander McQueen, Christian Louboutin, and Fendi. Inside the former Mandarin Oriental Hotel, the Waldorf Astoria has created an oasis of wellness with a fitness center, yoga classes, and a huge spa. Each of the Waldorf Astoria hotel’s 392 rooms has been renovated, giving them a fresh, sophisticated look. Rooms feature plush bedding, huge luxurious bathrooms with luxurious soaking tubs, and lots of space for shopping bags. The Waldorf Astoria does not have a casino on-site, but it does offer afternoon tea in a stylish tea lounge, gourmet dining, and an excellent selection of craft cocktails.
