This is my third Echo and it performs very well. I use it for music mostly and am very impressed at the sound quality for such a small unit. Also the voice recognition is impressive. I have a Yamaha sound bar for my TV that is "Alexis" enabled. Unfortunately its voice recognition is poor, requiring me to repeat and repeat some commands. My Echo is in the same location as the sound bar and does not have this problem
