I purchased this watch for my wife in April of this year. Within 6 weeks, the watch began severely overheating during the battery charging process. The last time this occurred the watch was so hot that my wife literally dropped it out of her hand.
We took the watch to our local Apple Store, expecting an immediate exchange or replacement. In fact, neither occurred. Apple would not provide a refund. The only thing they offered was to sell us a new watch for about 10% off the price we paid for it.
Really? That's it? This was a clearly defective product which failed and which became very dangerously hot within 2 months of purchase. I suspect the problem was the battery but what do i know? I'm not an engineer. I'm just really glad the watch did not overheat while she was wearing it; she literally would have been burned pretty badly.
I just can't believe that Apple is not standing behind it's products in any meaningful way. Is that company not making enough money yet?
We have many Apple products but this is so disappointing. It's mildly infuriating that I would spend that much money on a product that dramatically failed within 2 months and the company refuses to replace the product.
