Original Review:
The pandemic hit and my spin studio closed. I wanted the Peloton experience without the Peloton bike price. (Also, I didn't want to be stuck with only one cycling online service in case I wanted a change.) The Schwinn IC4 bike meets all of my expectations and more! The on-demand classes through Peloton digital (for only $12.99 per month) is completely worth it. (I'm also really excited to try Zwift!) The only drawback is that I had to buy an iPad for the IC4 Bluetooth to connect to Peloton. I wrongly assumed that the IC4 would connect to my Samsung tablet (or my other Android devices), and it didn't. (The online forums warn Android users about this.) In the end, purchasing my iPad for $319 at Costco wasn't the end of the world since I purchased the bike for $799 and I'm only paying $12.99 monthly for Peloton. (Yearly unlimited in-person spin classes cost waaaay more than that.) The IC4 is very affordable and it's an option that every spin-lover should check out. (Also, I highly recommend buying an equipment mat to put underneath the bike for stability.) In terms of putting the bike together, it was fairly simple. The main body of the bike is HEAVY, so be prepared. (The separate parts are fine.) If you're in the market for a Peloton alternative, this should be one of the bikes on your list to check out!

11 Month Update:
My rating is staying at 5 stars. After 11 months of owning the Schwinn IC4, this bike proved to be worth the money! It still integrates seamlessly with Peloton. On average, I ride 3x a week. I occasionally tighten the bolts for safety precautions, but I've never had a safety concern on the bike. It's very stable. Even though gyms and spin studios are opening in our area as Covid restrictions are lifting, I'm sticking with my spin-from-home set up through the Peloton app. I don't have to drive to the spin studio or be afraid of missing classes. I can spin as early or late as I want, and most importantly, I can shower from the comfort of my own home afterward. I really didn't think I would enjoy spinning from home, but I absolutely love it. I recommend buying a spin bike only if you already love spin. If you've never been a spin enthusiast before, join a spin studio (or take spin classes at a gym) for 3 months to see if you enjoy the workout experience. If you do, then definitely invest in your own bike. Happy spinning!!!
