The top is stretchy enough to allow easy movements. The seams are not scratchy and it has been washed and dried in my machines, no babying, and has come out the same size, no shrinking or color loss.
It layers beautifully under blazers and is opaque enough, in this dark color, to avoid being see through.
The knit is very thin and it requires a specialized no-show T-shirt bra to look professional.
In most other tops I have to buy an extra small. In others I buy an XXS. In most dresses I wear a size zero. This top is one of the only small sized items I own. Compared to most American sizes it is at least one if not two sizes smaller. So, if you are normally a size small I would suggest a medium or a large.
I am tall-ish and slim and have a very hard time buying shirts that are fitted and well tailored. I am 5 feet 7 and weigh 99 pounds. Most shirts are boxy to slovenly on me. This top is a size small and is fitted at my shoulders and in the arm holes.
