First of all, this is a very safe slicer and dicer to use. It comes with a guard and a pusher that keeps your hand off the blades. Second it has lot of different blade shapes and sizes that gives you the cut you want. The blades are sharp and I tried it with potato, onion, and cucumber. Worked easily. It comes with a big size peeler and a drainer basket as well which I like.
