This is a very nice mouse and I am happy it is working out so well. My old USB mouse was on its last legs so this mouse comes in at a good time. These observations are for the TECKNET Model M006 2.4 Ghz Cordless Mouse:
The Pros:
** A nice large "man size" mouse which fits my large hands quite well. It is comfortable and feels natural.
** The 2.4G Wireless USB receiver came stored in the base so taught me right off the bat that this was a good place to keep it when not in use.
** Wireless connectivity was instant and seamless. My Apple MACBOOK accepted it without blinking showing me the firmware is user friendly.
** I tried several different surfaces to see if I could trick the mouse or affect its operation: I could not. Despite the instructions saying not to use on highly reflective surfaces, I tried it on a marble coffee table which had lots of angular crystals showing through the high polish and could tell no difference in operation from my flat one color mouse pad. And, you really don't need a mouse pad with this. In fact, after a time working, I put the mouse pad up because less effort was required on a hard surface.
** One great feature is the side buttons are located on the top ridges of the sides of the mouse so if you tend to exercise your fingers a bit while using a mouse like I do, you will make less mistakes. I like that.
** The base of the mouse has a dedicated on/off switch which I like. According to the manual you don't really need it as it has a built in timer and will turn off by itself but I am "old school" and just like to turn things off when I want to.
** Battery life is claimed to be 30 months depending on conditions: use of a dark mouse pad draws more energy than a light pad for example. I would assume if you like to sit there and wave the mouse back and forth to make up your mind on something you would use more battery there too. Only time will tell whether this is true or not.
** The mouse is programmed for 5 DPI levels that are selectable from the top wheel button: 800/1200/1600/2000/3000 DPI. 2000 is the default. The selection of this can be done by pushing the wheel button down or forgetting to use the mouse for a long time. Not sure why this is this way but perhaps when the mouse goes into its energy saving mode, it has to do this.
** Finally, the specifications are listing this mouse as a Windows mouse and warns that use under other operating systems may reduce mouse functionality such as loss of the wheel. I am on an Apple MACBOOK, OS-X 10.7.5 and the mouse takes to my MAC like a duck to water. Am I in a small group? I can only tell you it works fine on 10.7.5.
The Cons:
The only issue I had was when I initially received the mouse, I opened the package but did not see the Wireless USB plug. It's human nature I think to do a quick inventory when receiving a new product so I wrote the company and reported this. While waiting over the weekend for a reply I took out the mouse, opened the battery cover to verify what size battery and there was the Wireless USB plug, stored in a small slot made for storing it. I now know to look at this for any future mice but I did feel a bit uncomfortable at first.
All in all, a pleasant experience and an easy mouse to recommend. If it works this well for my old Apple, it should fly on any Windows machine. The company is responsive and cares about their equipment. I like them and I will keep their products in mind because of this.

Great FULL-FRAME wireless mouse
Here we have your standard 2.4GHz wireless connection, complete with a “leave-in” style receiver. I’m not a huge fan of 2.4Ghz wireless accessories in general, typically response time is atrocious, and interference even over a moderate distance is pretty noticeable. TeckNet has delivered a much better than average experience in this case. Reliable use even from 10 feet away was better than I expected. After a quick round of Overwatch, and a 20 minute session in Guild Wars 2 I can say that lag (short connection distance ~2ft) is unnoticeable for your casual to moderate gamer. Sure I lost my match in Overwatch, but that’s no fault of the mouse, just my terrible playing. The mouse is comfortable, and wasn't prone to make me sweat during my light gaming. The plastic used is quite shiny and slick though, thankfully the rubber on the thumb indent keeps things on track. I’m a palmer (mouse grip that is), and this mouse does not disappoint in the ergonomics section. My large hands fit comfortably around this mouse, and feels well enough supported for long use. The sensor tracks well against a variety of surfaces, including pants, wood, and surprisingly even carpet. TeckNet calls this sensor their "BlueWave Pro", though (on my unit) it displays no visible light from the sensor. Honestly that's fine by me, I prefer not to have visible light emitting from the bottom of my mice, less distraction. Though, they do include a picture in the product pictures showing this blue light. Weird, but I can live with that. The only way to tell what level your current DPI is set to is to change the DPI and count the number of times the small green LED flashes. There’s 5 settings and this process can be kind of tedious if you’re used to different DPI levels for different applications. Overall build quality seems decent, it won’t “wow” you, but at the same time I’m not really worried about this falling apart in my laptop bag either. Button clicks have a good tactile feedback and audible “click”, this includes the side buttons, and middle mouse button. The scroll wheel is a standard notched affair, that balances the need for speed and precision quite well. Battery life is yet to be determined, though TeckNet claims 18 months. It does seem to go to sleep quickly, but not annoyingly so, and wake-up is very quick.
