- Reviewed in the United States on December 31, 2024This was a very cute and short read. What I loved about the book was how relatable it was. The FMC was able to overcome some of her past trauma while being in a very uncomfortable predicament. Her sister irritated me to no end because I couldn't believe that she left her stranded like that. This book was so good that I would certainly read another book by this author. I really enjoyed the pacing of it and the ending.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 30, 2024I giggled at the banter between Rosie and Leo.
Majority of this story is taken place at a Spa where Rosie is stuck in a “relaxation” tank and Leo is one of the firefighters who is there to help rescue her.
The narrator did a great job and really brought the story to life.
I thought it was funny and so cute.
Definitely recommend esp with Valentine’s Day around the corner.
Will re-read for sure!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 26, 2024You can only pack so much into a 45 page short story, and this was done very well. What a fun, quirky, funny, unique meet cute! Can honestly say I’ve never read anything like it lol. It’s your classic he is the hero and saves her, but in a way I promise you wouldn’t ever think of! Super fun and cute short, definitely worth the read!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 19, 2025I enjoyed this story as a lover of meet-cute romances. However I felt that it was overwhelmingly cheesy. I also felt like the plot was very rushed. Given I understand it is a Novella so the story is meant to be short. I felt it was too short for the sake of the plot.

Well, so far this series (The Improbable Meet-Cute Collection) has been a mixed bag for me. I loved the second story, but this one and the first were just okay. And while they all definitely fit into the cute and improbable categories, ROSIE AND THE DREAMBOAT just fell a little flat for me. Not only does the entire tale take place in a matter of hours, but I thought Rosie was a bit of a whiner too. She was nice enough and had a self-deprecating sense of humor which I could totally relate to but other than that she and Leo never felt like more to me than the characters that they were.
I really wish the author had included a brief epilogue or just some sort of update on this couple too because I simply wasn't buying into their romance. I honestly think Rosie's sister had more personality and think she would have made the better heroine but whatever. Overall this story was just mediocre and even the one-liners weren't very funny. I'm also not sure what Leo saw in Rosie and her insecurities got on my nerves a bit. Even for fiction this book was simply too unbelievable and too rushed to ever truly engage my emotions and I'm sorry to say I was glad to see it end.
I'd also like to note that even taking my time the story itself only took me about 40 or so minutes to complete and contains 36 pages of actual storytelling (not the 44 stated) since it starts on page 4 and ends on page 40.

Rosie & Leo
Another super sweet novella.
It’s quirky, it’s witty, it’s fun and flirty. The banter between the sisters and then with Leo, had me laughing out loud.
Gawd I felt for Rosie, this would be just my luck

5.0 out of 5 stars Sally Thorne stories are the best
I love her humor and her unique characters. I've read all her stories and was craving more of her brilliant brain babies. Although this was a shorty, I devoured it and I'm sad it's already over.... I want more!

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing book
These books are leaving me speechless how is it that I'm loving each and everyone of it equally! But it's enough for now, I'll read the rest of the books of this series when I'm in dire need of an escape!
