Drop, Cover, and Hold On: The Improbable Meet-Cute Collection Audible Audiobook – Unabridged
It takes nothing less than a fateful natural disaster to throw two opposites together in a ground-shakingly charming short story by the New York Times bestselling author of Drunk on Love.
This Valentine’s Day, Daisy Murray has her heart set on binge-watching rom-coms. Instead, an earthquake traps her inside a bakery with its impossibly rude and insufferably handsome owner and head baker. They already have a history: she’s always smiled, he’s always scowled. Where better to finally get to know each other than amid the disaster? Then again, they have no choice. Besides, it could have its sweet, undeniable, and unpredictable perks.
Jasmine Guillory’s Drop, Cover, and Hold On is part of The Improbable Meet-Cute, irresistibly romantic stories about finding love when and where you least expect it. They can be read or listened to in one sitting. Let’s make a date of it.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 19, 2024For a short read it dragged. It had a good idea sort of. Not as good as the others though. And actually, the more away from book 1 the worse these stories get. The characters seemed more like high school students and not actual adults as well.

3.0 out of 5 stars It was cute
It was cute, but a little corny.
There was an earthquake at her favorite bakery and the guy that owned it showed her attention so she slept with him.

3.0 out of 5 stars Pretty Good
⭐️⭐️⭐️
Three stars.
I don't know why other people have been so unnecessarily harsh about this short story. One review I read said that it was because all the make main character did was glare. So I counted. He glared at her 3 times. She glared at him once. I'm confused what is so offensive about this. I truly hope it isn't because the two main characters are POC. I want to think better of people than that. But the tenuous reasons behind the one and two star ratings make me wonder. Please, for the author's sake and for fairness, read this. It took me 15 minutes to read and why not give that much of your time for a nice solid little read like this?

5.0 out of 5 stars So cutee!!
I love that she isn't a reliable narrator!! So fun seeing all of her believes shattered as the earthquake came in.
Fun, sweet and cute book
