I have been very disappointed by Asurion. They have sent me on a wild goose chase trying to submit a claim for my smart fitness tracker. They first told me that "good news", my issue was still in warranty with Amazon and directed me to call Amazon. When Amazon told me Asurion had sent me the wrong info, Asurion then told me to call the manufacturer (which I had already done). I would tell you to save your money because this plan provides no additional value than the manufacturer policy and/or amazon's standard return policies.
I would describe this as an "insurance policy" that is filled with gimmicks, gotchas, and grief.
My claim was in relation to getting mugged and my device getting stolen. Every other company of the other items that were stolen treated me with care, respect, and basic human decency you would expect with the situation.
Asurion is the only one that gave me the standard corporate speak. Would give them 0 stars if I could. Save your money and don't buy.
Frustrated that I had to go through Apple. I won’t buy Asurion again. If I paid for the warranty, it should cover it and send it to Apple if they can’t fix it. Now I have gone through the whole Asurion process only to find I have to go through the Apple process to get anything fixed. Now what I thought I was getting.
