These are perfect! You can sit on them with no worry of them breaking. And I’m 175. Mainly muscle cuz I work out a lot so it’s sturdy. My cats love to scratch and this is a perfect material where the threads don’t come out. I had some old storage stools but they were too small. I use one to hold all my sweatpants and leggings, which is like 20 pairs of pants in one; and then all my shorts go in another one. Like 30 pairs of shorts. If you are debating on this item, don’t. Go buy it. You’ll enjoy it.

Arrived in clean condition. There is a slight odor but not annoying or a deal breaker and I have a very sensitive nose. Was easy to put together and once assembled it is sturdy enough but although I can and have sat on it, I would not use it for a step stool or ladder to stand on as that is a different weight distribution profile. I got this for my cats to lounge on and use as a step and it works great for them as well as to store different items in. I think it is an excellent value.

My son is far away so I am unable to return but pls be aware if you decide to purchase this item.
