I'm always nervous about someone hacking into my account & stealing my identity. This gave me some helpful tips about when it's safe to log into a public Wifi & some tricks to make it harder for anyone to get access to my personal info when I do. It also helps with advice on keeping passwords safe, how to back up your data, what kind of anti-virus software to get & what to do when you suspect you've been compromised. You really don't need any technical expertise to understand it. The time & money spent on the book is just a tiny fraction of the time & money I'd have to spend trying to undo the damage of someone getting into my computer or phone so I really appreciate it!

Good intro if you are new to CS. Gives some things to think about. It's pretty basic though. IT Techies will not find that this book drills down deep enough on a technical level

Great information, but the sentences are pretty long. It would flow better if every other word wasn't replaced by a synonym of the word your trying to use. Also a few random capitalized letters in the middle of a sentence and some redundancy. Great book and points, but writing and wording... eh.

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding book but with some compromises
Reviewed in India on August 11, 2022
I bought this for studying cybersecurity in simple language and it delivers better than my expectations.
The price I paid is 618 and to be honest the book feels like of 300rs max, now don't get me wrong, I'm saying because of paper and binding quality not for content. The content will be even worth it if price was 1000rs.
I've attached first 3 pages of the first chapter, you can read it
Don't worry too much, the binding is done with gum like with all other books but here the gum seems bit less but it'll be enough, paper is thin so it's a benifit too, the book is exactly 1.5cm thick, I measured.
The content should be main focus and that is really awesome and the book paper, binding is average. So without a second thought get this, Don't buy the 2nd edition it costs 2000rs+ and is exactly the same with few changes here and there, not significant at all. You'll love this book, very childish language but concepts are in extreme depth.
Book came in Amazon plastic bag not cardboard box but it had bubble wrap so not a single scratch, also book had a pre-applied plastic cover, I needed to tear that, felt great, lol.

    Davvero una bella lettura.
Un approccio complesso spiegato in modo facile, davvero niente male!

Lo consiglio a tutti, di questi tempi è bene avere una base di informazione che ti permetta di comprendere i rischi del web.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Top Notch Technical Book On Cybersecurity
Reviewed in Canada on August 22, 2020
It's great for beginners and more advanced students alike. It teaches things they teach in college and universities as an introduction to cybersecurity without the high costs. It's interesting and I find it hard to put down... but I have to sleep sometime. LOL. Great price too and good value for the money.
