Vegas Stats & Information Network (VSiN) is an American sports betting radio network and streaming television channel owned by Musburger Media. Founded in 2017 by the family of sportscaster Brent Musburger, VSIN broadcasts from their studios at the Circa Resort & Casino Sportsbook studios and BarCanada at The D Las Vegas on Fremont Street in Las Vegas, Nevada.

VSiN programming is carried via its own website, as well as other over-the-top services. VSiN also syndicates its programming via local regional sports networks and radio stations, and is also available through Dish Network, packaged specifically with the channel suite of Racetrack Television Network.

History

VSiN was launched in February 2017 by talent agent Brian Musburger, attorney Todd Musburger and documentary film producer Dave Berg. Broadcaster Brent Musburger joined VSiN as lead on-air personality after his January 2017 departure from ESPN. [1] VSiN launched on February 5, 2017, with its first day of programming focusing on coverage of that day's Super Bowl LI. [2] VSiN opened a studio in the middle of the South Point Casino, with glass walls to be visible to fans on the floor. [3]

Former Chicago Tribune Media executive Bill Adee was hired in March 2017 to be chief operating officer, [4] followed by Fox Sports media executive Rick Jaffe, who was hired in May 2017, to be executive producer. [5]

In March 2019, VSiN partnered with Anthem Sports & Entertainment to syndicate programming on its Canadian cable network Game+, including A Numbers Game on weekday mornings, and a weekly highlights program. [6]

In February 2020, VSiN partnered with iHeartRadio to produce gambling-centric online broadcasts of XFL games. [7] VSiN added a second main studio in October 2020 at the newly-opened Circa, with its construction occurring in parallel with the construction of the remainder of the building. [8]

VSiN was carried on SiriusXM until December 31, 2020, with SportsGrid Radio replacing it in its channel allotment on January 7, 2021. [9]

In March 2021, the Musburger family sold VSiN to DraftKings, with the Musburgers staying on in executive roles. [10]

On September 1, 2023, VSiN announced that it would be moving out of the South Point casino and into a studio adjacent to BarCanada and the sports book at The D Las Vegas, which like Circa is owned by Derek Stevens and his family. [11]

In July 2024, DraftKings sold VSiN back to the Musburgers for an undisclosed amount. [12]

Personalities

Brent Musburger serves as a lead on-air personality and host for its weekday program My Guys in the Desert, a reference to Musburger's long-time sly references to Nevada bookmakers during game broadcasts as his "friends in the desert". [13] [14]

Alongside Musburger, other on-air hosts employed by VSiN include Mitch Moss, Pauly Howard, Gill Alexander, Ron Flatter, Matt Youmans, Michael Lombardi, Tim Murray, Jonathan Von Tobel, Patrick Meagher, and Wes Reynolds. VSiN also employs Nevada oddsmakers Jimmy Vaccaro, Vinny Magliulo, and Chris Andrews to appear on its broadcasts. [15]

KDWN was a commercial radio station in Las Vegas, Nevada, owned and operated by Audacy, Inc.. The station pronounced its call letters as "K-Dawn". The station's studios were located in the unincorporated Clark County area of Spring Valley. Programming was also heard on 250-watt FM translator station K268CS on 101.5 MHz. KDWN aired a talk radio format. It ran several nationally syndicated conservative talk hosts, along with local shows, most of which were brokered programming. National hosts included Brian Kilmeade, Sean Hannity and Mark Levin. Other hours were devoted to money, health, real estate and sports. In most cases, the local hosts paid for their time on the air and were permitted to run their own advertising. Most hours on weekdays began with world and national news from Fox News Radio. A local staff provided Nevada news, weather and traffic. Weather coverage was supplied by NBC Network affiliate KSNV.

Stevens, along with his brother Greg, purchased the Golden Gate Hotel and Casino in 2008, followed in 2011 by Fitzgeralds, which they renamed as The D Las Vegas. He also owned the Las Vegas 51s baseball team from 2008 to 2013, and built the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center in 2014.

The Las Vegas Raiders Radio Network is an American radio network composed of 52 radio stations which carry English-language coverage of the Las Vegas Raiders, a professional football team in the National Football League (NFL). Las Vegas market stations KRLV (920 AM) and KOMP (92.3 FM) serve as the network's two flagships. The network also includes 50 affiliates in the U.S. states of Nevada, California, Alaska, Arizona, Hawaii, Kansas, Minnesota, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas and Utah: 34 AM stations, sixteen of which supplement their signals with a low-power FM translator and one repeated over an HD Radio FM digital subchannel; and 16 full-power FM stations, four of which supplement their signals with a low-power FM translator. Bill Adee is Chief Operating Officer for Vegas Stats and Information Network (VSiN) after joining the network in March 2017. Adee was formerly executive vice president of digital development and operations for the Chicago Tribune. He joined the news organization as its sports editor in the spring of 2002. He previously worked for the Chicago Sun-Times, Los Angeles Daily News, Akron Beacon Journal of Akron, Ohio, "The Virginian-Pilot" of Norfolk, Virginia, "The Daily Herald' in Arlington Heights, Illinois and the News Sun of Waukegan, Illinois.
