Granada Islamic School (GIS) was founded in 1988 in Santa Clara, California, in memory of Granada, Spain (Andalusia) - the beacon of Islamic civilization in the West. Non-profit, Granada currently has a student body of about 500 students PK-12th Grades. Granada currently has a preschool, an elementary school, a middle school, and a high school. The high school is relatively new and is yet to fully develop.

Middle College was founded in the fall of 2000. Its target enrollment is 240 students in grades nine through twelve, each grade having about 60 students.

The Tracy Learning Center is a charter school located in Tracy, California, USA. Serving students in grades K–12, it was founded in 2001 and had an enrollment of 125 students. Charter status was awarded in June 2002. It was decided, in June 2003, to relocate the Tracy Learning Center to the Clover Middle School site and to expand it to become a K–12 charter school. Expansion of the school was completed in 2007, with the addition of the senior class, that took numbers up to 850.

Founded in 2001, Kihei Charter has been the only high school in Kihei, though Kihei High School, a long-delayed Hawaii Department of Education school, is under construction. Kihei Charter operates three different schools at one location, serving children from kindergarten through 12th grade. Kihei Charter advertises the use of project-based learning pedagogy and a focus on STEM education.
Modesto Christian School is a private Christian school in Salida, California, on the outskirts of Modesto. It was formerly affiliated with the Assemblies of God; it was founded in 1962 by Pastor Roy Blakeley, who had previously founded Neighborhood Church. It was a charter member of the Association of Christian Schools International. The school educates children from preschool through 12th grade and is divided into an elementary, a middle, and a high school, which are housed on the same campus. It is a small school; combined enrollment was 285 in 2009 and 343 in 2013–14. The first graduating class, in 1976, consisted of 8 students; in 2007 there were 86.
