Boshofpoort is one of the best-preserved Cape farm entrances from the 18th century. It is located in Newlands where Boshof Avenue meets Paradise Road (the M3). It has an elevation of 1321 metres.
In 1666, the miller and mason Wouter Mostert was granted a farm known as Goed-en-Quaad on the Liesbeek River. At the end of the 17th century, it was owned by the chief surgeon, Willem ten Damme. He also owned the adjoining Boshof farm. In 1786, Alexander van Breda became owner, and the entire farm complex was renamed Boshof. Van Breda probably built the gate at his house's entryway. The subdivision of Boshof was founded in 1905 with the layout of the Fernglen neighborhood on the eastern side of Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden.[ citation needed ]
The gate was built in the then fashionable neo-Classical style with graceful and impressive posts. On both sides of the gate are wide seams with pillars. This gate leads to one of the oldest oaks in the Cape and is owned by the City of Cape Town.[ citation needed ]
After the municipal government restored it in 1940, it was declared a national monument in 1941. Today, it is a provincial heritage site.[ citation needed ]

Koopmans-de Wet House is a former residence and current museum in Strand Street, Cape Town, South Africa. The house became part of the South African Museum in 1913 and was opened to the public on 10 March 1914. It was declared a National Monument under National Monuments Council legislation on 1 November 1940. It is the oldest house museum in South Africa.
De Waal Park is a public park and heritage site in the Oranjezicht suburb of Cape Town. The park, which contains over 120 species of trees, is popular with dog walkers.
Jamestown, also known as Webersvallei plus Mountain View, is a quiet rural settlement on the southern outskirts of Stellenbosch in the Cape Winelands District of the Western Cape province of South Africa. It is situated next to Blaauwklippen Vineyards, on the eastern side of route R44 from Stellenbosch to Somerset West and the Strand coastal resort. The main access from the R44 is via Webersvallei Road, the main road in Jamestown with watererven – long, narrow agricultural plots on the south bank of Blouklip River – on the north side of the road and residential plots on the south side of the road.

The Bertram House, located on Hiddingh Campus, of the University of Cape Town on Government Avenue, in Gardens, is the only surviving unpainted red brick two-story house left from early Georgian architecture in the city. The house has a special place in the history of the South African architecture. In 1962, it was declared a national monument, and today remains a provincial heritage site in accordance with the National Heritage Resources Act (25/1999).
