Russell took his Instagram to celebrate the proud moment. In a heartfelt post, he wrote
"Brilliant day yesterday watching supermum Jasmine Martin. Dedication and hard work over the last six months pay off".
Married since 2013
Jasmine has been married to Russell since 2023. They are the parents of three beautiful kids aged twelve, nine, and eight.
In an interview, Russell said that their sons are the biggest Southampton fans ever and they want all the kits, home kits, and tracksuits.

- He had a tough childhood
Russell was born the second youngest of four brothers, with two foster brothers. He had a tough childhood growing up in East Sussex.
His father was into gambling and physically abused his mother. Russell was eight years old when they lost their home due to his father's addiction to gambling.
Russell's mother lived with him for 27 years before moving to London with his elder brother David. His father died in 2020.
Russell said his kids loved their grandfather and that his father was very different from the version he saw. He used to speak them softly and bought them sweets.

Russell was working two jobs while studying A-level at Varndean College. In the mornings, he was cleaning pubs and in the evenings, he was working in Spar.
He described those two years as the toughest of his life saying he had a perspective on reality.
- He is a vegan
Russell has been a vegan since 2014 initially due to his health reasons as he suffered ulcerative colitis.
In an interview with The Telegraph, Russell said his ulcerative colitis was caused by trying to please people.
"I had ulcerative colitis really badly. He was taking all sorts of medication. I genuinely believe, I really do, that it was internalized stress because I went against my gut instinct so much. All the time. To try and please people. I didn't listen to my intuition, my feeling", he said.
Russell won the Premier League promotion with Southampton
Russell led Southampton to the Premier League promotion after winning the play-off final against Leeds United on the 24th of May, 2024.
In an interview with Sky Sports, Russell expressed the victory as one of the biggest achievements in his life.
"I got emotional thinking about it now because it would be incredible, the biggest achievement of his life outside of being a father, and one of the best days of my life", he said.
He also said that all the memories and the moments they could create would mean everything and all the stuff afterward that would come from it, like becoming a Premier League manager would be secondary to that.
