What's the difference between cold and hot stacking? Cold stacking a rig means preserving the rig without active maintenance and storing it until ready for use, whereas hot stacking involves paying a crew to stay on the rig to conduct regular maintenance, and the rig is ready for work. We offer both cold and hot stacking of anchored rigs at the Port of Cromarty Firth. What is a Trust Port? As a Trust Port, we operate as an independent statutory body and are governed by stakeholders rather than shareholders. Our stakeholders are broad-ranging and include staff and customers, businesses throughout Cromarty Firth and the Highlands, local communities and local and national government. We have grown into a national strategic asset that drives economic growth, prosperity and opportunity. In recent years, over £50 million has been reinvested in infrastructure, including land capacity, deep-water berths and sheltered anchorages. https://lnkd.in/e34u4BZZ #PortOfCromartyFirth #HighlandTrustPort #TrustPort #CromartyFirth

Did you know? Subsea vessels and rigs often include environmental monitoring systems to ensure minimal impact on marine ecosystems. These systems can detect leaks, monitor water quality, and track marine life activity around the operations. The Port is in the ideal location for safely storing offshore energy structures, with allocated proven anchorage areas and good holding grounds. Find out more about our oil and gas services on our website. https://bit.ly/3HX3DSK #PortOfCromartyFirth #HighlandTrustPort #TrustPort #CromartyFirth #OilAndGas

Pleased to have welcomed another rig into the Port for maintenance – taking advantage of the deep water channel in the Cromarty Firth that has served the oil and gas industry so well over the years. The Firth's natural depth and sheltered waters make it an ideal location for servicing large offshore rigs, ensuring they remain in optimal condition to continue their crucial work in energy production. #PortOfCromartyFirth #HighlandTrustPort #TrustPort #CromartyFirth #OilAndGas #OilRig
