TV show description:
A follow-up of sorts to Freaks and Geeks, this series revolves around a group of freshman at the fictional University of North Eastern California.
Nerdy Steven Karp (Jay Baruchel) grows seven inches over the summer and has the potential to leave his old persona behind as he enters college. His dorm roommates are theatre-major lothario Lloyd Haythe (Charlie Hunnam), lazy music-major Marshall Nesbitt (Timm Sharp), and brainy business-major Ron Garner (Seth Rogen). The young men live across the hall from nervous Rachel Lindquist (Monica Keena) and neurotic Lizzie Exley (Carla Gallo), the girl who “stole” Steven’s virginity.
Together, the freshmen explore their new found freedoms and the consequences of being on their own for the first time. Unfortunately, Steven’s recently divorced father, Hal “the Halcaholic” (Loudon Wainwright III) is in the middle of a mid-life crisis and frequently comes along for the ride.
