Ghaziabad police have deployed over 7,500 officers and provided escort services to protect businesses during Dhanteras and Diwali shopping. They have identified 600 criminals and set up check posts in 115 locations. Traffic and fire safety measures have also been increased, with traffic police at key locations and three new fire response bikes deployed.
UPSIDA will soon handle the maintenance of industrial clusters in Ghaziabad, replacing the municipal corporation. The move aims to improve infrastructure in these areas. UPSIDA has already planned a Rs 200 crore investment for road and sewer improvements. The state government has approved the change, and an official order is expected soon.
