No. 2 Nebraska sweeps No. 20 USC for sixth ranked win of the season

The No. 2 Nebraska Cornhuskers volleyball team continued their California crusade by hosting the No. 20 USC Trojans on Sunday night. Nebraska welcomed the new Big Ten foe and former Husker Ally Batenhorst, who transferred to USC in the offseason, with a sweep (25-18, 25-22, 25-16). This is Nebraska's sixth straight win over a Top-25 opponent.

Batenhorst led the charge for the Trojans, serving up 13 kills off 33 attacks, eight more kills than USC's second-highest producer. The Trojans finished with 31 kills off 102 attacks, 35 digs, two blocks, and 30 total errors.

Nebraska meanwhile delivered 41 kills off 102 attacks, 47 digs, five blocks, and 24 total errors. Harper Murray finished with a team-high 12 kills off 27 attacks, six digs, two set assists, and two service aces.

Merritt Beason also cracked double digits in kills, tallying up 11 off 28 attacks. She also produced nine digs, two blocks, two set assists, and a service ace. Andi Jackson racked up seven kills off 16 attacks and a block. Lexi Rodriguez led Nebraska in digs with 13.

Bergen Reilly produced a perfect 1.000 attack percentage, delivering three kills off three attacks while earning 33 set assists, eight digs, and a service ace.

The Huskers improve to 12-1 on the season and will face Illinois on Thursday night. The match is set for 6:00 p.m. CT on FS1.
