Jose Alvarado is coming off his third season in the NBA with the New Orleans Pelicans. The former Georgia Tech star finished the year with averages of 7.1 points, 2.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 41.2% from the field and 37.7% from the three-point range in 56 games. On Saturday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reported that Alvarado is signing a contract extension with the Pelicans. The New Orleans Pelicans are entering a new era, one with a proper point guard in the mold of Chris Paul and Rajon Rondo. Former All-Star Dejounte Murray has been brought in to provide a steady hand to help guide Zion Williamson's vengeance quest. The Pelicans have yet to see Williamson in the NBA Playoffs but this year's Big Easy squad has serious potential. Brandon Ingram and CJ McCollum will have to make some changes, though.
The Indiana Pacers first-round series against the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2018 NBA playoffs is still occasionally discussed in Indianapolis to this day. While the Pacers lost the set in seven games, many moments still live in the minds of fans.
