Dame Catherine Anne Tizard (née Maclean; 4 April 1931 – 31 October 2021) was a New Zealand politician. She served as the Mayor of Auckland City and the 16th Governor-General of New Zealand. She the first woman to hold either office.[1]

Tizard died on 31 October 2021 in Auckland from a long-illness at the age of 90.[2]
