Black Orpheus (Portuguese: Orfeu Negro [ɔɾˈfew ˈne.ɡɾu]) is a 1959 French Brazilian Italian romantic fantasy drama movie directed by Marcel Camus (who also stars) and based on the play by Vinicius de Moraes. It stars Breno Mello, Marpessa Dawn, Fausto Guerzoni, Adhemar de Silva and won an Academy Award in 1960.
