Anh-Dzung (Dzung) Doan is a postdoctoral researcher at the Sentient Satellites Lab of the Australian Institute for Machine Learning. He completed his Ph.D. in the School of Computer and Mathematical Sciences at the University of Adelaide. His research interests lie in the area of robotic vision, at the intersection of robotics, computer vision, and machine learning. He has a strong publication record, with 20+ papers in major AI conferences and journals, as well as one US patent pending. His contributions have been recognised with the IEEE RA-L Best Paper Award 2021 and the APRS/IAPR Best Paper Award in DICTA 2019. Additionally, he regularly serves as a reviewer for major AI conferences and journals. He has held research positions and collaborated with several organisations, including Safran, SmartSat CRC, Niantic, the Australian Centre for Robotic Vision, Temasek Labs@SUTD, the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, and FIT@HCMUS.
