Olena Basarab

Editor

Olena studied journalism at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, and it was during that time that she realized exploring the world and her country, Ukraine, is a part of the profession she truly enjoys.

Over the course of her career, Olena gained experience at the media startup Barva, a marketing agency, and the news site Espresso. After joining Rove.me, she continued to delve into fascinating places and events, helping readers plan their dream trips.

You won't find Olena on the tops of mountains, at the bottom of the ocean, or among marathon participants, but she adores slow walks in new cities. She enjoys exploring a city's culture at markets and festivals, museums, parks, and cafes, where she always makes sure to rate the local cappuccino.

Despite the fact that cities with a fast pace of life do not impress Olena, her dream is to visit New York and climb the Empire State Building. However, before that, she will have to overcome her fear of long flights and heights.
