AN INTRODUCTION
PRISMA VISIONS TAROT
A tarot deck can be a daunting thing to learn - 78 cards and meanings to memorize can sound like a big task. But if you learn slowly and take your time with each card, you will start to pick up on the similarities and bridges between each suit and each card. Spend some time getting to know the cards individually. Each card in the Major Arcana is brimming with symbolism, some of it a little hidden. These 22 cards are powerful and when they show up in a reading they hold great importance. You will notice that these cards are signified by a border. You will also find an extra card that is not part of the traditional tarot. Some people will choose to remove it from readings, or keep it in for a twist of fate. This extra card varies from edition to edition and therefore they have become collectible relics.
Much like the Major Arcana, the Prisma Visions Minor Arcana holds a special kind of magic.
The four suits have each been created as continuous panoramas that tell a story or depict a journey. Spend some time laying out each of the suits in their full form. Try to read the story yourself, there is no wrong way to read the panorama - read it backwards, read it in parts, isolate certain cards - you will find there is more than one tale within each suit.
Being able to understand how the Minor Arcana cards inter.act with their adjacent neighbors will give you a greater understanding of how the Prisma Visions Tarot works as a whole.
Above all, remember that there is no right or wrong way to interpret the Prisma Visions Tarot.
These are merely suggestions to get you going and familiar with all of the magic that comes with reading Tarot. Prisma Visions is a departure from the classic “Rider Waite “ deck, which has become the “traditional” tarot deck. You’ll find new aspects to each card in Prisma Visions that aren’t present in traditional tar.ot, but I kept the Rider-Waite deck in mind when creating this deck and so you should be able to pick up the meanings of these cards quite quickly. Tarot is unique in that way, unlike Lenormand where each card’s meaning stays the same throughout all variations of decks, with Tarot the meanings can change based on the deck and the imagery.
