Caitlin Clark made history in the Indiana Fever's final game before the Olympic break, setting a WNBA single-game record with 19 assists. Despite her stellar performance, the Fever fell 101-93 to the Dallas Wings. Clark also scored 24 points in a thrilling back-and-forth second half, where Dallas' Arike Ogunbowale hit a decisive 3-pointer with 44.6 seconds left. The Fever, led by Clark and Aliyah Boston (28 points, eight rebounds), fought back from a 16-point deficit but couldn’t secure the win. Six Wings players scored in double figures, with Ogunbowale and Odyssey Sims each contributing 24 points. Clark’s 19 assists inch her closer to the league’s rookie assist record held by Ticha Penicheiro, needing just 13 more to surpass the 225 assists mark set in 1998. Clark's exceptional playmaking has her leading the league in assists, averaging 8.2 per game this season. She heads to Phoenix for the All-Star game, marking the first time since 2014 that two rookies, Clark and Chicago’s Angel Reese, will participate.
