Original post: July 25, 8 a.m.: Another week, another storm.
Power is out in much of the Town of Bolton after storm tore though Wednesday evening, July 24. According to the National Grid Power Outage map, about 92% of the company's customers in Bolton, which includes the Riverbank area near Interstate-87 Northway Exit 24, are without power.
According to a weather observer on the cocorahs.org website, about 1.1 inches fell in Lake George Village from 7 p.m. Wednesday to 7 a.m. Thursday. Over about the same time period, Whitehall saw 1.33 inches, while Glens Falls reported 0.04 inches and Chestertown 0.86 inches. This, according to the National Weather Service.

A band of powerful storms that lit up the night sky took down trees and power to the area.
Power went out at about 10 p.m. Wednesday night and remained out into the morning hours. Crews could be found clearing downed trees and working on power lines int the area.
Possible tornado
The National Weather Service is looking at a possible tornado in Broadalbin, a municipality at the southern end of Great Sacandaga Lake.
"We are doing a survey today in Broadalbin. I don't know if we'll confirm anything," the NWS spokesperson said.
The National Weather Service tracks river levels in the area and at this time, none of the rivers are listed as nearing flood stages.
All of this comes about a week after two massive storms ripped through the area. In Bolton on Route 11, the Bolton Landing Riverbank Road, the signs telling people to watch for crews cleaning up after last week's storms were still up this morning.
