GLENS FALLS – A Queensbury man sustained minimal injuries after being rescued from an Albany County cave Sunday.
The 20-year-old man, whose name has not been made public by authorities, had come to the Clarksville cave with a group from Queensbury. He became stuck when exiting the cave.
Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple announced online that the man was able to be pulled from the cave after five hours of rigging and setting up a variety of pulley systems.
“Training equals success!” Apple said in an online post.
Apple credited the rescue to the work done by the Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Team, who was assisted by the Onesquathaw Fire Department, New York State Fire, Slingerlands Rescue and Docs from AMC.
