HUDSON FALLS – Two Albany men were recently arrested in relation to a Hudson Falls burglary that resulted in injuries.
Rashan T. Yates, 24 and Jay’Quan A. Irizarry, 22, were arraigned July 1 in relation to a May Robbery on Liberty Place in Hudson Falls. Both men were charged with one count of first-degree burglary, a class B felony, as well as four counts of assault, one count of criminal mischief and three counts of attempted coercion.
Hudson Falls Police reported that they responded to the Liberty Place address for a report of multiple male subjects who forcibly entered a residence and assaulted several individuals. It was reported that one of the men possessed a handgun.
“The suspects fled the area on foot prior to police arrival,” Hudson Falls Police Department reported in a press release Friday.
Officers found the two men in the area of Oak Street and were able to take them into custody without incident. The officers were able to recover a revolver which was later determined to be incapable of firing a projectile near a residence on Willow Street.

A number of victims of the two men received minor injuries which did not require medical attention, police reported.
According to court records, Yates and Irizarry were both arraigned in Washington County Court July 1. Yates is scheduled to appear in court next on September 6 and Irizarry will appear in court Sept. 5.
