Being from Louisiana (Lake Charles Area) having a boyfriend who worked for TransOcean, several cousins working offshore being someone who stood up the whole time I watched the movie Deepwater Horizon, and watched most all documentaries about the BP spill THIS WAS A RIVETING LISTEN. I binged ofcourse, podcast having excellent interviews of “my people” and showcasing another side “the other side” of the story I’ve yet to hear. Excellent job yall. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A well done and beautifully presented story. BP, the EPA, Coast Guard and our government should be ashamed. We need to wake up to the harm and damage we collectively do to the place we all call home.

This is a beautifully done, work of journalism and compelling storytelling. I’ve never done this: I binge listened the entire thing over a couple of days. I could not wait for the next episode. The rigor and the digging and the emotional sensitivity to the human beings involved and subject matter was absolutely stunning. I heard about this podcast from a New York Times end of year summary. What hooked me was the opening prompt that we all have this idea about the deep water horizon disaster. And everyone seems to have the same impression. And that’s weird. Is that all there is to it? The answer to that question is no. There’s much, much more to it. And this podcast Dug it all up. Thank you so much for this.

I binged this whole series, I couldn’t stop listening. Compelling, fascinating, unsettling and tragic. Great work. Thank you!
