Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's® is the world's largest fundraiser for Alzheimer's care, support and research. This inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight against the disease.

The Wilde Lake Interfaith Center

Founded by the American Theater Wing in 1942 the Stage Door Canteen was an entertainment venue for American and Allied servicemen and women in the Broadway theatre district of New York City during WWII. Many entertainers performed there including Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey, Duke Ellington, and Benny Goodman. The CJB takes you back to those days of great big band tunes like “I’m Getting Sentimental Over You”, “Lullaby of Bradway”, “Let’s Do It (Let’s Fall in Love)”, “In My Solitude” and “Stompin’ at the Savoy”

She helps lift spirits through music every Sunday, and now we get to hear her perform some of her favorite pieces as we present the Larissa and Friends fall recital, an annual tradition. Larissa Sanders, Music and Choir&nbsp;Director&nbsp;at Christ Church,&nbsp;and her selection of incredibly talented musicians and vocalists will present a program of beautiful music spanning several centuries and cultures.

Light refreshments will be served at a reception with the musicians following the performance, as well. Offerings are gratefully accepted for this performance, and they will help support Christ Church's varied and vibrant music ministry, so we hope that you'll all gather with us in New Brick this Saturday, November 9th at 5:00 p.m. You'll be sure to enjoy a program of wonderful works performed by talented musicians.

Live Arts Maryland's Annapolis Chorale and Annapolis Chamber Orchestra will present Music For Our Time at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts on Saturday, 9 November. This program includes Leonard Bernstein’s exciting “Chichester Psalms” as well as works by composers known for their vocal and orchestral writing. The composers on this program have been favorites of our Chorale members and audiences for years and this is a great opportunity to hear this music in a different context.
